Welcome to Whitmer & Company CPAs, LLP. Our firm was founded on March 1, 1974 by Steve Whitmer. His goal was to build an outstanding team of dedicated professionals and support staff, all with the singular goal of providing each and every client the highest level of service. Under Steve's leadership, Whitmer & Company CPA’S, LLP grew into one of the region’s most admired firms.
Steve passed away on October 31, 2012. While he is no longer physically with us, the principles on which he founded the firm are still here, loyalty, accountability, professionalism, and respect, while maintaining the absolute highest degrees of integrity. He was passionate about giving every client great service. These are all qualities that Whitmer & Company CPA’S, LLP strive for, every day.
Today, partners Jan Neumann, John Whitmer, and Mike Dreyer have combined public accounting experience of more than seven decades. Together they lead a team of extremely talented professionals.

Janet M. Neumann, CPA
Ms. Neumann started with the firm in January, 1982 and became a partner in 1988. Her experience includes audits of not-for-profit agencies, conducting strategic planning seminars and assisting in the development of business plans. For over 30 years she has concentrated on auditing and consulting with federal and state chartered credit unions. Ms. Neumann also uses her financial talents to support the community, serving on the board of institutions such as Seton High School, St Aloysius Orphanage and Catholic Social Services.
John P. Whitmer, CPA
Mr. Whitmer joined the team in 2004 after working at a local public accounting firm. He became a partner in 2011 and began focusing on small businesses and their financial statements and tax returns. In addition, Mr. Whitmer developed extensive experience in compiling, reviewing and auditing financial statements for businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations. In the past Mr. Whitmer served on the board for the Cincinnati Center for Autism, but has more recently been giving back through coaching youth soccer and baseball.
